CLICK FUNNELS, SALES FUNNELS, AND HOW THEY IMPROVE YOUR SEO
Once you’ve optimized your search engine, it’s time to turn your sights on optimizing your click funnels and sales funnels. These are what come after your prospective customer has found your website.
Below, we’ll explain what these funnels are, what the difference between them is, their basic structure, and why you should care about them when it comes to SEO!
WHAT IS A CLICK FUNNEL?
At its core, a click funnel is another marketing strategy. Click funnels can range in length – either way, they’re a series of landing pages that eventually lead to a specific page, called a conversion. This can be a purchase, a download, a signature, or a follow.
A click funnel is a guide: it takes a user through a link-by-link process, curated by you, that will lead them to your desired ending page. You’ll want your click funnel to follow four basic steps.
Awareness
Interest
Decision
Action
- AWARENESS: How you peak your consumer’s interest!
- INTEREST: You have them intrigued – this is when you want to give them more information.
- DECISION: The consumer has all of the information they need – this is when they decide whether or not they want to continue in the process.
- ACTION: Congratulations! Your prospective consumer is now a successful consumer!
WHAT IS A SALES FUNNEL?
Think back to click funnels – remember how they can or cannot end in a purchase? Well, the big difference between a click funnel and a sales funnel is that the latter always ends in your consumer becoming a paying customer of your business.
Similar to click funnels, there’s a five step guideline that you want to take into account when creating your sales funnel.
Awareness
Interest
Evaluation
Desire
Action
- AWARENESS: You know this one! Just like with a click funnel, this is first contact with your prospective consumer.
- INTEREST: Another consistent one to a click funnel! Build your credibility, show how you’re better than your competition, and be sure to give your consumer all the information they may need to make their decision.
- EVALUATION: Show how your product or service is their best solution – or be honest with them if it’s not. The latter may seem ill-advised, but think of this as a way to build further trust with your consumer. If a consumer trusts you, they’ll find you first in the future.
- DESIRE: Your consumer wants your product or service, how great! Now, this is when the prospective customer is learning about all your offers, your pricing, potential discounts, and everything else they need to make an informed decision.
- ACTION: Congratulations! You’re potential customer is now a paying customer!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CLICK FUNNELS AND SALES FUNNELS?
Think of it this way: SEO helps your potential consumer find your brand, optimized funnels help your potential consumer learn more about your brand. SEO is the first step and these click funnels are the second step – but to get to the second step, you need to do the first step first!
