INSTAGRAM INTRODUCES MUSIC FOR PROFILES: LEARN HOW TO ADD YOURS

Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to add music to their profiles, expanding its personalization options. Previously available to select users, this feature is now rolling out globally, making it accessible to everyone. You can choose any song available on Instagram’s music library and it will be displayed prominently on your profile for all visitors to enjoy.

HOW TO ADD MUSIC TO YOUR INSTAGRAM PROFILE

  1. Edit Profile: Open your Instagram app and go to your profile. Tap on “Edit Profile.”
  2. Add Music: Scroll down to find the option “Add music to your profile.”
  3. Pick a Song: You can either browse the “For You” section or search for a specific song that you like.
  4. Select a Segment: Choose a 30-second portion of the song that you want to feature on your profile.
  5. Save and Share: Once selected, the song will appear on your profile, and visitors can play it directly. You also have the option to link your Spotify account to share the music directly.

META CONTINUES TO INNOVATE

This update is part of Instagram’s ongoing efforts to make profiles more personalized, following other additions like pronouns and profile links. It complements other music-related features, such as adding multiple audio tracks to Reels and using music stickers in Stories and posts​.
