Content creators can now include licensed music in their videos and earn a share of in-stream ad revenue with this new Facebook feature. This allows for both content creators and music rights holders to earn an additional income stream.

Music can be chosen from Facebook’s expansive licensed catalog featuring artists like J Cole, Cardi B, Tove Lo, Bicep, and more. This is the first feature of its kind; no other platforms offer this type of revenue earning possibility at this scale for content creators.

“When you change one thing, you have the ability to change EVERYTHING.”

WHY MUSIC REVENUE SHARING?

Music drives culture and social interactions – this feature enables video creators to include more of their favorite music. Video making takes up half the time spent on Facebook according to Facebook; this opportunity allows content creators to connect even closer with their followers and the music industry.

“I have dreamed about using popular music in my videos for years. Music Revenue Sharing on Facebook is an absolute game changer for creators! I was lucky enough to test this feature earlier this summer. Hearing iconic film scores on my movie-themed recipe videos enhances my content so much. I could not be more excited about this!”
